I've been asking for lots of help on the forums, so I thought I'd make a post about my project. I'm a bit scared to post about the story subject because it's ... *looks around* ... feminist. hahaha "Smash the patriarchy" feminist wish fulfillment, to be exact. cheer Why have a fantasy setting if you can't explore your fantasies, right?

I am hoping that in addition to being a feminist allegory, it will also just be a fun adventure that anyone can enjoy.

Now that nobody will ever help me with my scripting issues again, lol, I suppose I can go into more detail.

Initiating Event

The main quest begins when the PC(s) accept a job to find an elf girl who's gone missing. The quest to bring her home will take the PC(s) on a path that upends their entire worldview and has divine consequences.

Campaign Type

If I remember right, D&D likes to say there are three main campaign types: fighty-fight-fighting, exploration, and investigation. The main quest will be of the investigation variety, though I've a plethora of side-quests ready and waiting to provide exploration and lots of fighty-fights.

Adventure Length

I have no idea yet. Honestly, I could probably do enough side quests to get PCs up to level 20 with 13 - 15 encounters (not quests) per level. (The source subject material is quite expansive.) But I probably won't make it that big.

Maps

I had no real interest in making my own maps, so all but one of my maps so far are modified from the GM maps. The map I did make turned out way bigger than I intended, but I wanted the place to be big so it works. They're mostly empty right now, with basically just quest-related NPCs and items, but here's a few screenshots anyway. Because why not?

Manton Tavern: Where the adventure begins. This is constructed inside a house in a GM town map.

Histerix Orchard: Another modified GM map early in the adventure.

Part of the only map I made myself. It turned out way bigger than I meant, but it works. It's supposed to be Very Large.

Schedule

I expect it'll take me a month or two to get everything up and running how I want. Any longer and I'll probably lose interest, so hopefully I can complete it in that length of time. I've been working on it for a week or two now and the main quest is all written, so I think this timeline should be doable.
