Oh wow, that looks like a nasty (but arguably easy to overlook) bug! Hopefully it'll be fixed soon. I don't see why either, I know how to fix it but from my standpoint it'd require modding a simple change. So should be next to no work to hotfix it as an extra thing into the (hopefully soon) incoming patch.
