Hi everyone, I have an issue that is probably unsolvable but just thought I would check to make sure.

My PC crashed to blue screen after saving on my honour mode campaign. When I rebooted, the save has disappeared from the game. When I looked at the file location in Windows Explorer, this is what comes up:

..\OneDrive\Documents\Larian Studios\Divinity Original Sin 2\PlayerProfiles\OffMinor\Savegames\Story\HonourMode

The files contained are:
LevelCache (folder)
Globals.lsf
HonourMode.lsv
HonourMode.png
meta.lsf

All the files were last modified just before the crash. Is there a way to salvage the savegame? Any input would be appreciated, thanks.

Try this:
- move those files somewhere else (don't lose them)
- start a new honour mode playthrough
- save the game, then exit
- copy the old files you just moved into the new save folder, overwrite all
- see if the old save comes up in the game

In my save folders there are always only 2 files, the .lsv and the .png. I don't know why you have the other files, but then my saves are not in OneDrive. So something else you could try is to delete all or some of the other files (including/excluding the Level Cache folder), keeping only the .lsv and the .png. See if it makes any difference.

Could be a lost cause though, so don't get your hopes up.

Hi there, thanks for the suggestions! Neither of them ended up working unfortunately so I will be restarting my Honour mode campaign, but I really appreciate the advice regardless.

Have you got Windows restore points enabled? Maybe try and see if you can restore to a previous version of the files.
