Okay the way this works is just silly. The fact that as a player I can just click on any enemy to see their stats & resistances just kills the game.

It's bad enough that I can see the number of HP an enemy has and know that fire / poison will kill it on its turn and just ignore it.

Numbers should really not be shown. It would be better if the bar just went down or even better if it just stayed full and went from red to yellow to flashing yellow to flashing red or something.

You should at least need lore master 1 to see the level and HP. Lore master 2 to see resistances. Lore master 3 to see whatever else is shown.

Considering how the scaling in the base game works I don't think a Black Desert type of approach to health bars and knowledge of monsters would work very well. A good idea, by all means, and I'd love it as a mod if UI would at some point become accessible for modding. But by how the game is laid out I think that would turn out to be more of a negative effect on the average player than positive. (Due to the often large difference a level or two can make to the difficulty of a battle).

For GM however, I can understand the wish to hide levels from the player for some particular instanced reason. A checkbox to hide level in tooltip could be cool, but I figure changing the entire backend stat system and health bar UI just for GM mode would be too much of an ask.

Again, knowing less about the enemies and going in blind has tons of fun potential as an idea. Maybe core attributes and UI will be more accessible to modders in DOS3 / Engine 3, who knows 😏😊

Can't you just leave Loremaster out? Make it unskillable?

I would take that over how it works now. Let the Gm roll to see what they know about creatures.

I assume that would be an easy change. Just disable players ability to inspect enemies.

I made a basic set of rules for all of the Civil Abilities including Loremaster. Feel free to use it or borrow from it:

Ill look over it. I have another set someone made I liked that I'm looking over

The main issue for lormaster is how the game lets you inspect enemies
