Hello.

WARNING: Spoilers below...

I wonder who designed it. This is the first time I reached Nameless Isle only to find out that its layout is pretty annoying to navigate and the isle itself is pretty boring (I've got about 60% of map cleared).

I got also a pretty bad time keeping Delorus alive (who got the bright idea for him to be level 9, really?).

Also a little exploit I found. I was getting around faking ourselves as Lone Wolves and I took the opportunity to kill both Magisters and Black Ring people in a single battle (I felt bad at first, but everyone seem to be an asshole here). And so far, I haven't been attacked yet. The fake it's still working.

It's a weird one, it's bigger than I'd anticipated, it even has a settlement of a sort, but it just isn't very engaging. Possibly as it's a bit single-purpose, it feels to me like there's no real diversions nor exploration to be had; it feels like an extended battle zone with little respite or humour. And maybe that's its intent, but I enjoyed it less than Fort Joy and Driftwood.

I have my fingers crossed for Arx, but I wouldn't hold my breath here. Anyway both Fort Joy and Driftwood were amazing for me.

Not wishing to spoil your enthusiasm, but don't hold your breath for Arx. It has the beginnings of an interesting area and overall I would still rate it above the Nameless Isle, but it's a bit meh: it's more Aleroth in Ego Draconis than Aleroth in DKS. Which is to say they have it in them to make it something awesome but it's not there yet. I think it's an entire dev team having a case of modders' fatigue (which is kind of encouraging in itself because it seems to be a product of just wanting to have endless new and fresh ideas; but ultimately it becomes impossible).

Many of the core issues of D:OS 2 are kind of caused by the story line: difficult start in Fort Joy, flawed cooperative gameplay because six Origins with nothing real in common and because there can be only one 'god', those life empty special sections with the worst godpower thirsty freaks ever and the questionable implementation of source itself.

Yes, so far Arx didn't feel bad to me. It just felt okay. Maybe I was expecting worse.

Kalrakh: Yes, plot has a lot to be desired in my humble opinion. The battle for godliness left me with a "what the fuck" sensation. Why anyone else must die?
