Hi folks, new modder joining because I've been looking for a solution to this problem all over every forum for a few days and I've never found my particular issue.

My problem is that everything in the engine seems to work just fine except publishing. When I try to publish a mod, either to Steam Workshop or locally, I get 2 identical error messages (see the second link below) in the vein of "Failed to open file 'C:/.../lotsofnumbersandletters.pak'"

And then I get the "Glasses has stopped working" message and a crash. I've tried every fix I could find for other varieties of the Glasses crash. Steam, the engine and the main game are all running as admin. Read/write permissions are enabled everywhere I can think of. I've checked and triple checked my Data path (not that that would be it, since I can open and use the engine just fine).

I also get a series of error messages on startup that don't seem to actually affect my ability to work in the engine, but I've included them below for info. FWIW I also have DOS2 and the engine installed on my D: drive, while C: is an SSD. I would prefer not to have to reinstall everything on the SSD, which is frustratingly small.

Still haven't managed to figure this out. Current workaround is dumping all relevant files into Google Drive and sharing it with friends who want to use my stuff. So, functional.... sort of. Would really like to be able to publish!!

Hey!

You seem to be doing everything right. As long as you have write access (you're running as admin, so that's fine) and disk space left on C: it should be able to publish. That numbers.pak file is your packaged mod.

We're currently looking into it. Hope to have more information soon smile
Apologies for the inconvenience.

Sincerely,
Kevin
