Apologies if this was covered somewhere else, I have been unable to find an answer to this.

I'm about to run a GM campaign with some friends, and I wanted to know if anyone knew how exactly the rolls work in DOS2.
If I have an event that requires a "Feat of Strength" for example (i.e. moving a boulder), how does the roll mechanic in Divinity work when I ask the player to do a d20 roll on their Strength?
Does the system check that the player has 23 Strength and then add a modifier of +4 to the d20 roll or?

Thanks

Hi! Roll in Gm modes are controlled only by GM and does not have any connection with a stat system except "purposes" of the roll. Basically if you ask player to roll d20 for strength check and (s)he has +4 you need either take it into account yourself or manually input +4 when requesting a roll. Game will not add it automatically.

Cool thanks for clarifying that :)
Shall add my own modifiers to their d20 rolls then.
