If you cast Wizard's Sight once, then cast it again before the first has a chance to wear off, the fog of war should remain cleared (roof tops will return, though). I tried this in 1.29 and 1.34 and it worked fine. A low level of Wizard's Sight will not give you much time to re-cast.
