Having been spoiled by Steam's automatic syncing of saves, I forgot to back up my DOS2 files before reformatting (why did I buy this on GOG?!). What must have been 75+ hours of gameplay - gone. I felt like I was well into act 2, having just freed the lizard being hung, but I also took my sweet time to get there.
I won't lie, I'm pretty discouraged from continuing atm.
A part of me wants to just drop the whole thing.
A part of me wants to rush through it all until I get back to where I was.
And a part of me wants to get stupid intoxicated until I cant recall anything in order to try to recapture that first-run wonder and excitement.
