Hi, currently, the only way to switch into dual wielding weaponset is by openning inventory and manually dragging main hand weapon and offhand weapon afterwards. Which is a bit of a hassle when compared to convinience of switching between main-hand weapons (or 2handers).

I propose an update to hotbar which would allow to drag mainhand weapon first and an offhand weapon (or a shield) second.
When clicked, it would switch to both weapons in their according hands.

P.S.: the proposed solution is exactly how NWN2 did it. wink

Weapon-sets for easy change is one of many so far unheared suggestions since EA.

I quite liked the way Divinity 2 did it: I'm surprised the idea was dropped.

How was it done in Div 2?

The "paper doll" in the inventory screen had three sets of weapon slots, changeable by pressing F1, F2 and F3 both in the inventory and in game. It was a nice, easy and convenient way of assigning and switching weapons.

Obviously they'd need to use different keys but they could still use the same system.

This definitely needs to be implemented, it's a no brainer.

Really enjoying the game so far (~60 hrs in and only I've only just left the Island!).
The game has certainly made me re-think my general dislike of the turn based strategy format.
Anyways, on topic:

Very much agree about the dual wield hot-bar implementation being 'unwieldy'.
A quick switch action or, as previously mentioned, a series of weapon sets box (maybe as part of the hot bar) would really avoid having to juggle the inventory screen every time one wants to switch a characters weapons.

Or indeed dragging the off-hand weapon on top of the main-hand weapon on the hot-bar could create a weapon set 'stack', with tool-tip info for both weapons.

Well, not to necrobump, but man, I was really hoping this would be a thing. Most games have it - I wonder why they never implemented it? It's weird to not just be able to press a button and swap long-ranged for dual-weilding short range...

I actually created a mod for this sort of thing: Equipment Sets. You can save and switch between loadouts with the press of a button.
