The game only adds the .2 and .x2 files after the first time you enter the Dark Forest.
Somehow your default shroud file got set to completely cleared. My shroud.x2 files (in startup and startup.v2) are exactly the same size as yours.
Try the file from the startup folder. If that doesn't work, maybe backup your saved games and re-install Divinity.
