Don't read below this if you have not finished with Act 1 on EA.

Entering the boat, your companions leave to do their own things. The Red Prince seems to leave permanently.
Upon leaving, he takes all his inventory with him.
In my game The Red Prince was my deal maker, the one with 5 bartering and had all my 12k gold with him (all skill books and most of the gear).
I tried to steal some of my stuff back just to notice that all the money was gone.
Later we learn that he dies on the Dallis fight.
I hope this gets fixed in the final game, he should return everything he has. Even the gear he is wearing.
He was also my healer, so recruiting Lohse to be my new healer without any new skills for her to learn was kind a iffy.
Dallis fight with that kind of healer... no thanks.

I'm not sure about that.

Perhaps in some cases he does (based on what criteria I don't know) but he didn't for me.

It did take absolutely ages to find him again though - I wandered all over the ship multiple times before I found him. If there was anything in the dialogue about them all buggering off I certainly missed it. Will have to retry that bit I guess.

But sure, if he does really leave he should return his stuff.

WHAT ? This doesnt happen ... If you have comapnions they dont leave you even when you enter the ship. If you say to them, that you would like to part ways for now , they would go to the camp and then when you board the ship alone they will be doing their own stuff and they can join you again if you talk to them. Later the game will ask you if you are certain if these are the companions you would like to bring with you cuz you wont get another chance. I love how the game kills them off, that made my day when i first played it. Makes things much more easier for me. I mean its obvious that there is going to be a free for all massacre at the end of the game, to see who becomes Divine. You have to kill or convince your companions at the end , so you can become divine. I rly hope they dont bring them back when they die on the ship.

I don't know if you ever had The Red Prince as a companion all the way to the end of Act 1.
As soon as you step on the Lady Vengeance, your companions leave to do their own things. Everyone else can be recruited except The Red Prince. He just says "Our story started on a ship and ends on a ship. He has no intentions to stay in our group from now point on"
I don't mind that too much. Just return all my stuff and all my gold. Maybe even have npc's on the ship who sell all skill books so i can train my new companion.
But yeah after Dallis fight we can find the spirit of The Red Prince on the ship and he says that he died.
I don't think we'll get him back unless we do some kind of resurrection.

I think this happens with any of the companions if they have a low opinion of you. On my first play-through as Ifan, Lohse and Red Prince rejoined me when I found them on the ship but Sebille (who I had gotten multiple -10 or -5 approval with during our previous conversations) just gave a me a line about it being time to part ways. She also showed up as a spirit in the Hall of Echoes after escaping Dallis.

Hmmm... I don't remember him not liking my conversation choices but i think teleporting him to a lot of different locations might might have made him mad since he takes damage every time.
If that is the case, they should change that.

This also happened to me. When examined the red prince has an attitude of -5 and I don't have any options to improve it. However, when I examine Lohse, she has -35 and I am still able to add her, so one of them is bugged.

He is on the main deck, with Malady.

I had a hard time finding him also.

I had the same issue with recruiting him, but that's because his attitude towards me was way too low (due to Stench talent). So I went down in the ship and removed my stench talent and recruited him (his attitude was +4 towards me after Stench removal).

I can confirm it is stench that is the problem but instead of going downstairs and getting rid of the talent in the repec mirror, I flipping reloaded a past save ... as an idiot would do!
