These are DLC's for Divinity II (2012) not for Divinity OS 2.

Aha ! thanks for the reply / confirmation. So is divinity 2 different from Divinity: Original Sin Enhanced Edition ?

Would be good to get a list like you get for books saying this title - these "parts" - confusing naming structure !

I'm going to go try do some googling. I don't want to buy a version that is old to the point of not enjoyable to play compared to the Original Sin2 version but as stated would like to play some more.

Ego Draconis was the title of the original release. Flames of Vengeance was the expansion pack, or more accurately, it was the ending which had been missing from Ego Draconis.

I would thoroughly recommend Divinity 2, but it is a very different game: it's a third-person, real-time combat game, not an isometric, turn-based strategy one. Speaking personally, it's my favourite of the series but YMMV. So in terms of gameplay it's quite different since you play as one character (though interacting with lots of others, of course) as well as the aforementioned, but it still has Larian's lore and humour and stuff.

Thanks again for the replies folks smile

seems that each game is pretty different so a little confused on my best way forward.

If i liked Divinity2 : Original Sin - I liked the combat system and skills / magic side (didn't really bother with the crafting),
and really enjoy character progression (into skyrim, Diablo and titles like that too).....what other title would you recommend to buy from Larian ??

From Vometia's comment i am pretty tempted to go with the Divinity 2 enhanced Edition....

If you feel adventurous enough, give Divine Divinity a try. The beginning of it all, you could say. The game was my first serious RPG ever, and it was what got me into RPG in general.

Its combat is like a Diablo kind of game, but with a much more detailed game world - all sorts of miscellaneous items strewn about, and rich dialogs with NPCs. It has the humor, the quirky secret/hidden stuff, and quest descriptions that tend to be vague and most of the time offer little to no direction.

Personally, I loved the fact that the game doesn't hold your hand. But I understand many players would hate that there is no "quest marker", as sometimes the game could make you feel lost and frustrating. There might be a couple bugs here and there, and combat balance could use some polishing, but overall it's a super amusing and fun ride. Well, for me anyway.

Play them all! I loved both DD and D2 for albeit different reasons. D2 was my first venture into the series, I finally played DD very much later but in spite of its by then not at all up-to-date graphics I had a really fun time with it.

The one I could never really get on with is Beyond Divinity. Which is nothing to do with the gameplay, but some stuff felt a bit off with the presentation, which probably sounds a bit shallow but I could never get into it as much as the other games in the series.

Actually the gameplay in Beyond Divinity is also not the best. Offensive magic spells are essentially unusable thanks to the exorbitant mana cost, and it can be awkward controlling two party members in real-time.

Thanks again for the replies - refreshing being an active forum !

some really good pointers - i can see controlling two characters in real-time combat being a bit tough.....

Equally i like magic users (typically go wizard type roles with some fighter or thief rolled in depending on game capabilities for customisation).

I'll go find some gameplay videos on you tube and let you know what i end up opting for !

Thanks again smile
