I just finished a book called "Fallen Dragon" by Peter F Hamilton. It was very good and reminded me I forgot to mention the "Nights Dawn" trilogy by the same author. If you like Sci Fi you will love this series. They hype on the cover says "Enough ideas for a hundred novels...". For once its not just hype, its true.
I will call you "Squishy", and you will be my squishy! OW! BAD SQUISHY!

Robert Jordan's Wheel of Time,1/2 way done withhe 4th one, its real good, except the one of the characters is really confusing me, I can't figger out who's side there on. For the people who have read Wheel; is Lanfear good or bad, I though she was bad, but she is trying to help Rand (lewstherin reborn)! Congfusing, Lord of The Rings was good, and the Icewindell series, Robert Jordan is the best though new harry potter book also.

I like Eddings. I've been thinking, am I the only one who sees a huge parallell between the Belgariad and ? 7 gods, one people for each god, one of the gods decided to live in solitude, but formed a small brotherhood of wizards. Oh, and the divine one from the prophecys, who will kill the evil demon?
Belgariad had 7 gods One god formed a brotherhood Belgariad had a divine one (the Godslayer) Belgariad had an evil god, instead of a demon, but still.
Oh, and do I have to mention that one of the tombstones has the name POLGARA on it? Though this might just be common knowledge, and I'm stating the obvious.

I doubt it. The ideas in either Divine Divinity or Eddings' books are about as new as egg on toast; the "Polgara" bit was probably done in tribute. Even if Larian got some ideas from Eddings, you should give credits where credits are due.
Valaquenta:
- Eru Illuvatar and beings of the Ainur race join in a song of visions and creation; Melkor, in his ambition, causes disharmony. He ends up seducing Sauron to his side. Compare and contrast with Torak and Zedar the Apostate.
Quenta Silmarillion:
- Melkor, with the aid of Ungoliant, destroys the Two Trees. He also causes a number of wars, not the least of which is the Kinslaying war of the Elves. Compare and contrast with Torak's misuse of the Orb and the disasters that followed.
Lord of The Rings:
- Commpare and contrast the plot with that of the Belgariad. Change "Ring" to "Orb" or vice versa. - Olorin is a Maia, a lesser Ainu and servant of the Valar. He plays a role of wise, guiding wizard. Compare and contrast with Belgarath. - Aragorn is an heir to a throne, raised in anonymity to escape Sauron's notice. He later claims his kingship. Aragorn is also Isildur's Heir, who Sauron fears most. The ideas behind Belgarion are pretty obvious, here. - The Istari is a brotherhood of sorts, consisting of Maiar that the Valar sent to help Arda. - Olorin contests with Curumo, who has betrayed the Istari and the Council of the Wise. Belgarath and Zedar, hello?
Don't take me wrong. Eddings was an entertaining read the first time through - shallow, quick, pulpy - although after all his characters have beceom demi-gods and it's evident that his villains are as intelligent as potted plants, it becomes stale. Divine Divinity is a good game, but the story is not what I'd call original.

Still, the six people-gods and the wizard-god, plus the polgara tombstone atleast suggests they've read the books, right?

Yes, one of them must have. My point is, the things you mentioned are too generic to have come, strictly, only from Eddings.

I just finished Galilee by Clive Barker. Weird book, but I loved it. The thing is, like so many other of his books, it seems to finish nowhere. You kind of shake the book in confusion to see if a few more pages fall out.

is Lanfear good or bad, I though she was bad, but she is trying to help Rand (lewstherin reborn)! lanfear is one of the forsaken, so in that sense, she's evil. but she is also in love with lews therin (not rand, but to her rand is lews therin). so she does what she can to help rand, but she also wants him to become evil and rule beside her. but basically, she's bad.

really?? djes, I'm stuck in book V, it's quite a tedious book imho, so I hope #VI will be better.
for the moment I'm reading Jurassic park and it's 'the Shining' after that. Jurassic park is almost finished and I must say that it's LOTS better than the movie, imho they stratched the book out over 3 movies

well, i started reading WOT in 8th grade, so that's like, 9-10 years ago. whenever a new one was about to come out, i'd read them all over again so i'd know what was happening. besides, i'm a fast reader. i read 'lord of chaos'(book V, i think) in 2 days.
