I like Eddings. I've been thinking, am I the only one who sees a huge parallell between the Belgariad and <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/div.gif" alt="" />?
7 gods, one people for each god, one of the gods decided to live in solitude, but formed a small brotherhood of wizards. Oh, and the divine one from the prophecys, who will kill the evil demon?
Belgariad had 7 gods
One god formed a brotherhood
Belgariad had a divine one (the Godslayer)
Belgariad had an evil god, instead of a demon, but still.
Oh, and do I have to mention that one of the tombstones has the name POLGARA on it?
Though this might just be common knowledge, and I'm stating the obvious.
