Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Help/Tips/Tricks Cannot open "door to the main floor" in fort joy

No matter what I try the door never opens up, I killed the houndmaster but it had no key, I saved the dying magister and got the password but the door never asks for it, I offered to help the skeleton and get his soul jar but the door does not open up... what am I missing???

The Houndmaster doesn't have the key, the key is sitting on a stool in the room where the Houndmaster is interrogating the other Magister. That's done so it's possible to sneak in, grab the key and sneak away.

The secret door the skeleton points you to is elsewhere.
