It won't be fixed unfortunately.
It's a very obvious and simple fix to move it an inch up the screen. If they haven't twigged to it or considered it an issue by this late date, there's no reason to think they will in the future.
It must be one of those things where some people don't notice it or aren't bothered that that it obscures what's happening on the screen.
It means the animations are secondary feedback to the text overlay.
I expect what happens is people get used to it and it's no longer raised in QA.
