Slynx we do the same thing in our campaigns now. The SP on bedroll mod was awesome and a huge time-saver. Nobody wanted to be the lucky charm person because it was so much work (before the sharing). And as the guy who does all the bartering on every campaign I can tell you it is super annoying to have to run all over act 2 a hundred times to buy this and that for people. Eventually, I usually just tell people to buy it with no discount and we'll just lose out on some gold. We always end with like 500k too much anyways.
