Sucker Punch is the ability you get when the character's offhand is free. It's supposed to have a cooldown of 3 turns.
Now after using Sucker Punch, if you re-equip a weapon/shield to your character's offhand, then unequip it again, Sucker Punch is given back to you off-cooldown and can be used again immediately. Equipping the weapon/shield costs 1 AP, but unequipping it doesn't cost any AP. Sucker Punch itself costs 1 AP. So basically you have a 2-AP knockdown that is available every turn.
Classic edition didn't have this issue.
