Ready to set sail for the Nameless Isle, I talk to Malady to get going and she mentions something about unfinished business involving a Lone Wolf.

I realized that I didn’t ever wrap up Ifan’s quest on Reaper’s Coast, but I’m at a loss for how to progress it. I did some searches online, but nothing I found got me unblocked.

As it stands, I have the quest A Wolf Alone, which has two sub-objectives. One is about turning in the contract to kill Alexander, but that one is marked “(Closed)”. The other is about telling my other party members that Ifan was the one who delivered the Death Fog that killed the elves.

I’ve killed Roost, talked to that dwarven scientist who is working on an improved Death Fog device, but I don’t think that led to anything useful. Some stuff I read online seemed to indicate Hannag was part of Ifan’s questline, but not as far as I can tell--I finished Hannag’s quest which rewards a Source point or spell book and it didn't advance anything related to Ifan's story.

If anyone has any ideas, I would be so appreciative, as I really don’t want to have to move on and lock myself out of ever finishing Ifan’s questline. Thanks!

I never even had such a quest. Under Companions/Ifan in the log there was a subobjective called "Running with the Pack", which ended at the note saying "The hunt is on again." And another subobjective saying the same thing you mentioned, that Ifan delivered Death Fog. Does your journal say "The hunt is on again"? I might be wrong but there might have been some changes to the objective's name in a recent patch, and that might have messed with Malady's dialog. Or maybe there has been a bug in her dialog all along.

Either way, if Ifan was with you when you confronted Roost, you should be fine.

Thanks for your reply! I do not have a quest log that says, "The hunt is on again." Nonetheless, Ifan is my "main" character, so he was certainly there when I confronted/killed Roost.

I actually went ahead to the Nameless Isle and found that the game seems to have caught Ifan's questline up to where it needed to be, and I can continue progress on it. I was relieved!
