Larian Studios Forums Divinity - Original Sin Divinity - Original Sin - Enhanced Edition Bloodstones stop working at last portal

I cannot get the last portal to open even though I have 3 bloodstones available to me. When I use the bloodstone, nothing happens and Zixzax doesn't meet me in the hall. When using one of the bloodstones, there is no flashing green light on the Rift Travel icon like there was on the previous uses of bloodstones. Obviously, since I cannot get the flashing green Rift Travel icon to work, Zixzax doesn't meet me in the hall and the last portal doesn't open. Is this a bug and how do I get a work around. Note: I have used the bloodstones for all other portals and a flashing green light was on the Rift Travel icon properly. I have tried moving the bloodstones to many locations within the game to no avail. Thanks

Which portal are you trying to open? The chapel portal is the last one; the Forbidden Zone portal can not be activated.
If the homestead is under attack, that will prevent new portals from being opened. You must end that, doing something in northern Luculla (check you quest log, or talk to Zixzax).
