Playing DOS2: DE version 3.6.31.1571 on Steam. Own the standard edition but never played it intentionally because I was waiting for the polished and expanded DE. In other words, I may be considered a new player with a fresh install of the game and a single playthrough => less profile flags pollution to get in the way.
So far I have made three attempts to get said problematic achievement for a total of 82 hours. Each time I am starting from a backup save on board the Lady Vengeance, before setting foot on the Nameless Isle for the first time.
I have tried everything mentioned in these guides, threads:

https://www.reddit.com/r/DivinityOriginalSin/comments/9gwjxl/seven_altars_achievement_spoilerish/In addition I have tested some theories of my own. Most prominently - I tried approaching each altar with a character whose race is NOT the same as the race of the god the altar is devoted to. This always triggers those conversation options which require the character to make some sort of sacrifice in favour of the god.
Needless to say, nothing helps. As with many other players, my achievement counter is stuck at 5/7.
This is the first achievement I cannot get so far. After reading so much about bugged achievements, though, I am left with the impression that more nasty stuff awaits me in Arx and near the end of the game.
I know it may not be top priority on your side, but it would be beneficial if you can do an across-the-board achievement patch/fix for Steam and GOG.
Achievements/trophies look insignificant at times but there's more value to them than many realize. They are a way for players to stay invested in a favourite game and keep replaying it long after it is new and trendy. The less working achievements there are, the less goals players set for themselves and the less reasons they have for replaying.
You decide whether this is worth your time and efforts. We will do the same.
