I would love to have huge exploration maps just for adventuring and uncovering stuff (crafting, bounty hunting, treasure hunting) places where it's outside of our main and side quests. Do we really want this game to be linear and just follow game maps where the quests are? I would like to be able to explore areas where it's risk vs reward, for example if an area is 1 or 2 / 3 levels higher than your party, we shouldn't be restricted access to it. Say in that particular area, we succeed on killing a powerful Ogre mage and their cohorts 2 levels higher than your party, later find out that they were killing innocent people. Getting rewarded for killing that Ogre mage and their cohorts without any NPC telling you to do so and giving that quest before hand should still be rewarding.

...and find out that their "2 levels higher" weapons they drop give you a -40% accuracy penalty. At that point you ask yourself: why did I even bother exploring and attempting overleveled encounters?

i hope that we travel to the underdark, undermontain, desert locations, snow locations. The main quest have at least 60 hour with secundaries around 200 hours. I hope see a game to next consoles lvl

If it's turn based I think it can be a very long game. Perhaps 300 - 400 hours? Basically turn based combat are very slow. With that I think they can jack up the play time tremendously in my opinion.

PoE2 was RTwP. But even for that game was long enough for me. Maybe was it the biggest difficulty?

Whatever the system Larian is using I really hope they make the combat super addictive. Even you are already a skilled player, game can still be challenging. For example DOTA2.

rofl no. The Witcher 3 took me only ~170 hours, and I did pretty much everything, both main game and DLC's, and I assure you I took my time playing it.

Now if BG3 is going to be open/semi-open world, that would be interesting.

The game will be longer than DoS2, approximately 100 hours.

Considering that we have Mindflayers, id say that the Underdark is almost a given.
Exploration wise, i think we have a safe bet that well get something like OS2: a big "open" map thats still, essentialy a string of "Quests" that are location based.
Baldurs Gate was no different tbh.

One thing i wish theyd do is to reuse locaitons. this might sound lazy, but i dont like playing "through" a map and never returning to older locations, it makes it feel stale and MMO like.
