I would love to have huge exploration maps just for adventuring and uncovering stuff (crafting,bounty hunting,treasure hunting) places where it's outside of our main and side quests. Do we really want this game to be linear and just follow game maps where the quests are? I would like to be able to explore areas where it's risk vs reward, for example if an area is 1 or 2 / 3 levels higher than your party, we shouldn't be restricted access to it. Say in that particular area, we succeed on killing a powerful Ogre mage and their cohorts 2 levels higher than your party, later find out that they were killing innocent people. Getting rewarded for killing that Ogre mage and their cohorts without any NPC telling you to do so and giving that quest before hand should still be rewarding.
