So in DOS1 and 2 I will call it Part 1, you could use the environments to your advantage with spells, etc. But it was limited to the elements mostly like water, fire, oil, etc. How cool would it be if they included options to use static (or nonstatic) objects in tactical battles AND in the realtime travel/exploring?
Think of things like pushing boulders down a hill, releasing a dam to flood an area, using grappling hooks and ropes to pull yourself up to advantage, enticing general animals (or monsters) to stampede or destroying cover to collapse structures with enemies on, or under them.
You can also use it for exploring such as an option to traverse cliffs, walls, natural bridges, etc.
For combat allow the option to shove or push your opponent. If they are close to a cliff, well you get the idea.
The animations for these would be a lot of fun to watch if done right too and really add to a real PnP feel to playing one of our favorite RPG's.
