Agree. I find that our Avatar customizations, presentations etc. really create more attachment for me. There are many that may not care about it but to be honest I love to feel like my characters reflect my imagination.
I really love customization offered in other games such as XCOM (which is hardcore customization but would be amazing with an RPG where you are limited to only a few characters is worth spending that time).
Then if the customization is reflected in-game and portraits even better.
I'd love to wrap them into the character sheet which I also hope has a real DnD / homebrew look and feel.
