Thanks, Alric. I had no idea what the goblins were yelling--it sounded kind of cute and reminded me of the Fallen from D2 who often seemed to me to be calling out "chiropractic!" I am sure that is not actually what they were saying. And "Colenzo!" which made sense once I got to BAAL's throne room and met Colenzo.
I am definitely going to get Sacred on March 24 when it comes out here. It looks like a great game.

Be careful, in the German Forum - Part here I've actually heard of Quest-Breakers ! I cannot say how serious it is, but if you were wise, you would perhaps wait until the first Singleplayer Patch. (Until now, everything was Multiplayer.)

I have a question, Is there anything about that grave by where you find Wolfeyes (or whatever it was) that is really dark black, with the four torches around it? Everytime i went to open it, it would hurt me (you saw blood coming off your character) Just wondering.

Each of the playable characters has a unique Starting Point Gladiator in Arena, Seraphim in Elysium ... and the Vampire in that old dark house. I think this is her "resting place".

Wish people'd react differently to different characters, though. The reactions toward the seraphim and the gladiator aren't terribly different, outside of the starting areas.

Yeah, that's right.
I fear that too much potential of the game wasn't implemented.

Yeah, that is a good point, the vampire should provoke terror or maybe a perverse fascination with her unnatural beauty. You can steal without pennace too as has already been mentioned. Anyway, small points which are made up for by an excellent combat system. I played the demo again with the gladiator and there are a few balance issues. I'm sure they will be rectified in the full game though. Gladiator could chop a seraphim to bits I'm sure in the demo.
You have the full game yet Alrik? It's out in germany right?

In Germany it's out since the last days of February. There's a whole lotta mess out there in the Forums.
As I tried to describe above, there are still bugs and there are features - especially the respawnmnmnmn - the people aren't very happy about.
The development currently focuses on Multiplayer - there are already some MP Patches out there, but none for SP (although rumors say that these Patches also fix a few things in SP).
Most of the people are indeed talking about MP - and most of them are fans of Blizzards products.
Well, if you could understand at least *a little bit* German, I'd highly recommend browsing throuh the forums there just to get an overview. I cannot pack everything - and especially the overall feeling - of the boards into words.

Actually I just wanted to know if you'd played it yet Alrik. If so what your individual thoughts on the game were?

Sorry, I still haven't it, because I currently simply cannot afford it. No job = no money = no game ... I still don't know whether I can buy BD or not ... EDIT : Next FeaturesIt's German, sorry, but you might perhaps recognise one thing or another. This is about things that are planned to be included in the next Patch - devided into "Testing", "In Development" and "Concept".

Cheers Alrik. I'll try to get one of the Germans I work with to translate some of it.

Quoting myself : Yes, these are the official English forums ... The official site for German, English and French is imho http://sacred-game.com Unfortunately this link only leads to the Ascaron-Page of Sacred. The news tell of an "american official Sacred page", located here : http://www.sacredgame.net (Contains a link to a DEmo). What I actually don't understand is that almost *every* country has its own cover ! I had thought ONE cover would be less work ? Anyway, I'm niot that familiar with the English sections of Sacred ... In several shops Sacred is clearly sold out. About Gothic II : Gothic II Gold has arrived a few weeks ago here in Germany ...

So, anyone know where i can get the UK version of Sacred in Canada....i can not order it off Amazon.uk - they will not ship to Canada - but i had no idea that the North American version would be diffrent so it could get a lower rating.

gogamer.com is where I got mine from. There are other, cheaper places mentioned on the Ascaron forum too. I forget the names. Check them out!

My copy of the UK version just shipped from gogamer.com. $55 on overnight Fedex. I should get it tomorrow! (w00t!) I'll post some comments on it soon. (If I can stop playing)

An Update 1.5 for the German version is awaited for next Wednesday - I suppose there will be a Patch for the English version as well, then.

I'm buying it as soon as it hits the stores here. EB says the 25th.
edit: Alric, I posted this at Sacred-fans.net (and gave you the credit.)
"- Well, the Sacred-Community has found another thing : Schniepel. The Goblins cry this out as a kind of weird war-cry (at least in the GFerman version), and the community is speculation about what it might mean .
(The german ie is spoken like a long i , like in irritation, only longer.)
The both theories most of the people agree upon are :
- Schniepel means a higly snobistic person, also called "Schnösel". This is slang and / or even dialect.
- Schniepel ist another slang / dialect word for a certain part of the bodies of male persons ... (women don't have it ).
There are reports of Goblins attacking with the cry "Schniepel !" , but when they are defeated, they sometimes cry "Doch kein Schniepel ..." (English : "No Schniepel ...") , being frustrated and disappointed (this sounds to me like "he / she wasn't such a cheap victim I expected him / her"). I have difficulties translating the implicit feeling of disappointment that lies within the addition of the word "doch" in this exact sentence.
EDIT : I've seen first posts changing the names of "Goblins" into "Schniepels" ! "
