20-25 hours is not long enough to get what the game is about IMO. Did you get very far? What lvl? If monsters are just as hard to kill when they respawn you're doing something wrong, seriously. I also found a 'monsters of lower level die on sight' amulet which helped immensely. Did you find the pac-man dungeon? <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif" alt="" /> There are lots of fun things in this game. Its about making the most powerful character you can and getting to the end. Then playing in the next difficulty level! A bit repetitive like D2 of course, but Ascaron added new areas in the higher difficulties so I'm dying to try them.
The monsters respawn thing is about 5 minutes too. I think they may change it a bit in the next patch.
Kiya, did you only play the dark elf? His traps are what makes him unique and there is a pretty good guide for this in the new Sacred forums.
Valid points from one point of view, most characters get the same basic combat moves, multi-hit, hard hit etc. which can be seen as repetitive. Each one has its own unique talents though. The gladiator's auras are interesting, also the vamp's bats and other summons, the woodelf's spells etc.
I would say a lot of the side-quests are repetitive, and brain-power is not needed for these. Experience is all you do them for, and the items! The intelligence comes from putting your stat points in the right places, fighting a mob properly without dying etc. I imagine this will be more important in the silver difficulty and beyond. Which I will get to eventually!
Sacred is massive, and needs a lot of hours to explore. 20-25 hours does not do the Ascaron team justice.
