Egin,

I finished the game yesterday as a lvl 40 gladiator. I used a one-handed axe with 2 sockets. I only discovered the dual wielding when I was on lvl 24. As from then I used a shield together with the axe. I had no major resistance anymore. So I would say compared to Diablo the axe is a good weapon.
As for horse riding, it's only usefull to flee from battle and travel AQAP to a teleporter. The horse is the first attacked and only has weak health.

Thanks for the tips Dunkman.

I tried some hammer in the beginning, the damage was nice. The sound was pretty nasty though, like to kick a mob in the head with a pot , but it seemed that those right-click styles didn't work with the hammer, is this true or I have messed something up?

I think they planned to include better armor for horses.

The special attacks should work with any weapon. I assume you play on bronze. If you do, you won´t get any good uniques at all, so it is completely up to you which weapon you prefer.

for a long term char imo do not go with a 2 handed weapon. either dual wield or 1 hander and shield, because u will get more sockets to put runes and jewels. For Glad u might also check out titanium knucles--fast and do high dmg due to the bonus--% of strength dmg. otherwise sword and axe both good.

Do not invest in a specific weapon lore until u r sure what u want, and then not many pts in it. It only gives speed--a good thing , but + to speed is also available on items, and + to attack rating--which u don't need if u use combat arts.

Horses r currently not that great. Especially online.

I really like the game--it is fun to experiment with different builds.

Bronze? Hmm, I thought thats a character's skin colour you choose at the beginning, stupid me. Is that silver like nightmare? I wish I could switch to silver right now, I am lvl 10 and too lazy to start all over again.

Cleglaw
Thanks, I will not put in lore. I really am still not sure what weapon to choose. As for now, my gladiator is a killing machine. I would like to see more finishing moves. Once I was lucky enough to cut off mob's hand, hihi,

I have faced two buggy places. Near one small village there is a man, who asks you to kill elven mercenary. I kill it, come back, but the man still asks to kill that elf. There is another man in the same village asking similar thing and ending up in the same stucking way.

Tried that mage char. Funny to see orcs explode into greenish cloud from his fire bolt. Why greenish? I should probably ask Jurak

bronze is the lowest difficulty level, then comes silver and then gold! You can choose eather silver or bronze from the beginning. If you finish the game on silver gold becomes available.

Not that I have finished it now... I have to play a long time. I think I know what I will do today

Random quests are currently buggy. There is a new patch:

If I read correctly, there's also Platinium after Gold.

Hmm, I tried to export my lvl 10 Gladiator from bronse to silver (this game has a very good feature, where you can freely export and import your character). First 2 or 3 goblins almost killed me . Silver brings some tension. But how is it used to be? I don't think it is real to start silver from 0, or when you start new char on silver, he has some more powerful stats, lets say lvl 10? Or is it used to be like Diablo, you finish the game on bronse, then take your char to silver etc? And yes, weapons choice is really better on silver.

as far as I know, everything's compatible, except things the smiths worked into the equipment.

the char has the same stats on all 4 difficult lvls. with my first char i finished the game on silver, but tooks me lot of time and much more resurrections .....

right, but only for campaign mode... there're lvl restrictions for mp-mode. lvl 25 for silver, lvl 40 for gold and lvl 50 for platinum. if you make an open or lan-game you can choose the difficult lvl by your own, no restrictions for the player. so if you like suicide you can start on platinum with your new char and try to survive the first bandit, they have lots of hp.....

No you don't need to restart from the beginning.

The SP is still a lot of fun in spite of random quests being buggy. However, I am frustrated by MP which is a heck of a lot of fun, BUT I get disconnected from the server every 1/2 hour to 2 hours. FRUSTRATING! I am behind a router and this seems to be a common problem for routers which Ascaron says will be fixed in the next patch.

My most powerful char is a trapper Dark Elf. Easy to make and does insane amounts of damage. Place all your attribute points in dexterity, combat arts in exploding charge and poison mist. This creates a synergy that generates very high damage. When I play this character online he does far more than any other character of his lvl.

Thank you Cleglaw. I tried dark elf, now at lvl 8. Putting into str and combat arts. I was mistaken, I thought I can dual-wield du-blades, as du-blade is not two-handed. You can equip it with a shield, but you can't equip two du-blades after you get dual wielding.

And another thing I discowered yesterday. Those skill potions do add up, this sux as I was always selling them when I had this skill in my possession. So, now I have attack lvl 1, hard hit lvl 1.

You can indeed dual-wield du-blades. I have done it. Sometimes you have to try it a few times to make it stick.
I like Sudden Fury for a melee DE. It has knockback and stun.

I play with a cable modem. Some days there is lag and some not. If you use a router you will have problems getting connected or staying connected--they have announced that this router problem will be fixed in the next patch.
