Does anybody else think vampires are... too powerful? When I transform I throw hundreds and hundreds of points of damage left and right at high speed. Hell, I was wandering around and ended up killing some dragon without using a healing potion.
And as for horses... Yeah, they are the worst thing possible during a fight. Attack speed is mauled, accuracy is mauled. BUT....
You can get it so your character (assuming you use one) fires your bow while moving. I don't know if its a bug or intended, but you can't get hit and guys just run around behind you getting smacked around to death.

Yeah, vamps had massive damage in vamp form but you had to change every 45 goddam seconds! Very tedious.... As for the horse thing, never noticed that. Maybe I'll fire up the game again sometime when I get bored.

Yeah, you click to attack, and while attacking click and hold to move. You will be able to move at will, and as long as you hold the mouse button, you will constantly be attacking! VERY handy if you are unfortunate enough to have put points into to horse mastery.

Wood ELf and Dark Elf are also incredibly powerful.

Did anyone else hear the the goblins occasionally refer to Woodruff and the Schnibble, a delightfully off-the-wall graphical adventure from 1994 made by Coktel Vision?

I don't know whether they call "Schnibble", but indeed they call "Schniepel", as I explained several pages before this one in this thread.

So I've read--but I'm inclined to think it's Schnible. I don't hear the "p" sound, there. Could be wrong, only that game does have quite a few out-of-game references (the Marx Brothers, for another).

Two things : - The next German - language Chat is Juni, 3rd. I expect an English-language Log from that. - I want to inform you that the web site of "noXQs Order" will soon be closed. Sisaya and me have written two very different "closing speeches" in German about that. You can still visit the Forum (but not long anymore ) here : http://www.noxqs-orden.de/phpBB2/index.php The whole page (in German) is here : www.noxqs-orden.de.vu

I am online playing in the hardcore room almost daily. My characters all start with "Law." I am easy to find because there are few people playing hardcore. Join me. It is a lot of fun.

Open beta patch 1.7 has been released. Many changes are present including in SP. Here is a quote from another player on another forum.
"IMO the patch is great so far i spent several hours in SP since no closed servers were available. and my once working router configuration no longer works on open. Battle Mages got tweaked real good. they are more powerfull the trade system works well. and now every quest gives a rune even sub quests. you get to keep horses when you save or log out so no more saddle switching. and nice items drop more often my battle mage got a 3 slot hood off of a goblin and thats at level 1. thats all i can think of right now. and the mobs are more powerfull also. those thugs or theifs at the bridge do hit hard."

Have anyone noticed that "Sacred" is a very close relative of MS Exel? Stats, stats, stats... Is it sensible? Reminds of wood harvesting.. a tree, another one, again, again..
It's actually not even a game, it's more likely to be a chronometer. Its rythm is infinity. What an exact name - Sacred - the game process IS sacred indeed. That is another dimension of gaming, where most imoprant thing happens beyond the screen but in the table. Numbers, combinations.. It can take you for ever.

Well, I've written some things about Sacred earlier in this thread; it might be interesting or useful to you.
Sacred is a kind of "creative hack 'n' slay game" , a game like Blizzards D2, but very creative in the details.
There is not much anymore in it that reminds me of Armalion, but it still can be found.
The community likes it, I think, and it is *definitively* aimed nowadays to the people liking D2-like games (H/S), unlike Armalion.

Sacred just released a free expansionpack. As one of the big competitors in RPG I think Larian must counter attack this very fast or not it's summer relax man.
Not in the mood for cheese? That excuse has more holes than a slice this fine Gorgombert!

Interesting !
In the German official Forum I read that this Expansion Pack will be free ... AND there will be a new edition of the game be sold which includes it !
"Free" means free for download, of course. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/winkwink.gif" alt="" />
