Well, my bubble has been burst. I respectfully accept this as Lariens game and their right to make it as they feel. I for one will not be playing it, I tried Divinity Original Sin and made it about 5 minutes and uninstalled it. If I wanted to play PnP thats what I would do. I like video games for the free flowing feel. But as I said earlier, its their game.
My only hope is there is a way to switch between the two modes of play
