I do hope it's in the game menu and not a config file. The first thing I do is disable screen shakes like that before I even start playing, so right in the game options would be ideal (but I can dig through a config file easily enough as well, just the game options would be so much more convenient). Absolutely, positively can't stand effects like that. For a visual interactive experience, I do not appreciate any system whereby it robs me of the visual experience by shaking the screen so violently as to obscure it. That's akin to JJ Abrams penchant for lensflare...blind the audience trying to watch your film.
