And to be honest. This whole concept of origin characters is for me one of the worst things for BG3 until now. I really don't get why it is a benefit at all.
Don't Origin character only add something, not subtract? If you had no origin characters in the game, and thus no unique responses for them, but instead had generic responses only, wouldn't that leave you in the same place as you would be in by creating a custom character such as is done in most games (e.g. Skyrim)? They do have tags you can select to make your character receive specific responses, however that may or may not satisfy.
Or is it that non-Origin characters will seem shallow in comparison to Origin characters without the voice acted cut scenes? In other words, get rid of Origin characters so they don't make custom characters seem shallow?
