While the characters might exist as some nod to the popularity of the show and as result of the sourcebook https://www.amazon.com/Dungeons-Acquisitions-Incorporated-Accessory-Hardcover/dp/0786966904 I would not specify everything that happens in it as canon.

After all its partly a comedy show and much of what they are doing is hilarious and conflicts with established lore or rules. That's fine and there's no playing D&D wrong as long as peoples enjoy it.


I respect your opinion. However, the fact that Omin has become one of the Masked Lords of Waterdeep shows how relevant the show is. Just because there are some comedic parts doesn't really make the show comedy in general.
