Hi guys,
Will BG3 for PC be mod-friendly? If yes, to what extend? I'm definitively hoping for a moddable game, even if we'd have to wait for full release.
Cheers!

We do not know. They haven't ruled them out, neither was GM mode, but apparently the changes to the engine are so substantial that the previous, effectively ready, modes won't work.

With BG3 being as close as possible to the 5e rule set, it would be a missed opportunity not to have a GM mode or tool set. I'm hoping it is in the final version of the game, but it's just speculation at this point.

More than just the GM mode, though. I would like the ability to create stand-alone playable mods. Think of the old modules for D&D (e.g. Tomb of Horrors). Yeah, you need a DM for those too, but with computers, you don't. They could sell those at $5 a pop (or more) and make a killing, even with the community make their own. Time to bring, as much as possible, the full D&D experience to video gaming.

The toolset in DOS2 or the one to be used in BG3? I don't recall there being any real stand alone adventure mods for DOS2 .
