For fans of the old - school Bioware team:
James Ohlen (Bioware/Baldur's Gate), Drew Karpyshyn (Bioware/SWTOR/Mass Effect), and Chad Robertson (Bioware/SWTOR) have gotten licensing from Wizards to work on a sci-fi themed RPG through their new studio Archetype Entertainment. Funding was secured in January.
There is hope yet for a proper, new cRPG in our life-time.
