Not really. Social distancing and most people staying at home was a net benefit for entertainment in general, before the pandemic suddenly disappeared (coincidentally just in time for protests that had the correct politics). The American elections will get a lot of news coverage, but not all, and there will be lots of people actively avoiding such coverage.
