Larian Studios Forums Divinity: Original Sin 2 Divinity - Original Sin 2 - Bugs & Technical Problems The Secret of the Dwarves - CRASHING AT CAKE

(This is a copy-paste because I had the same problem and found this forum through the thread i copied. SAME EXACT PROBLEM THOUGH!!)
After the new patch today I'm experiencing a bug with the Secret of the Dwarves quest line. When you click on the wedding cake at the wedding massacre site the game crashes as the cake explodes initiating the fight with the explosive toys. I've tried many ways to get around this bug, interacting with different characters, having my party out of view, only having one character in the party when interacting with it. No matter what I do game always crashes. I've seen in youtube comments and on other forums, many people are experiencing this bug after the new patch today. I would really appreciate any advice on how to get around this I don't want to skip the quest! Thanks for your time,

Hi everyone, I have the same problem here. I am playing the switch version. I would appreciate any help with this, I wouldn't want to miss anything from this amazing game !

I think everyone is experiencing this bug since the update. I sent a copy of my save to Larian Studios and they are aware and working on a fix.
