I'm playing DOS 2 (Definite Edition) on steam, and after the most recent update I've experienced the following:

When attempting to join other friends games, myself and all the party members are stuck in the loading screen under the status of "Installing" for a good 30 minutes before we load into the game.

The host can load into the game as normal however, when anyone else tries to join they are stuck waiting 30+ minutes to join the game.

It almost seems like the game "installs" at 1% every 1 minute, all players are affected by this, disabling all mods, trying a new load file, new host, all results in the same extremely long loading screen.

Note: When loading a save file once all players are finally in the game, the load times are normal, this bug is only active when players initially join the server for the first time.

Please fix ASAP, as its getting old very quick to wait 30 minutes to be able to play this game, is anyone else suffering from this problem?

I just tested and timed the loading... I started loading into the server at 7:09PM, got into the game at 8:18PM, and then the hosts Divinity crashed, failed attempt to play.

It previously took me less than 1 minute to join the game... What is going on here... others are loading a little bit faster, say for instance another play loads 10% within 5 minutes, another player loads in a little faster, another one a little slower, etc...

Just figured out the problem, after the new patch, even if you do disable the mod: "Party Size Evolved"

All players must have this file in the appropriate location to load in as normal.

Once all the players downloaded and moved the file to the proper location, everyone loaded in under 30 seconds.
Before we had it setup where the host was the only one that had the file.

i was having this same issue with some friends. upon deleting the entire \steamapps\common\Divinity Original Sin 2\DefEd\Data\Mods folder we were able to connect to each other without issue. this of course also fully removes the party size evolved mod from the game
