the giant space hamster is important.
Overall, I am glad that some studio improved on the combat mechanics of BG2 towards 3D environment, also with elements effects and
other cool stuff.
Divinity series deserved all its awards, of course.
I have enjoyed playing DOS 2 recently...
maybe the adjustments I would make would simplify and not make it harder for the producers and software Engineers.
Simplify on total amount of items, gold, collectibles, improvement through economic trading...or finding gold and items in barrels, which does not make much sense at all.
Also, simplify the extra visual effects towards the necessary. There is a very old but fine game about that, called Time Commando, where the
movements are simpler, without flashy effects, but still awesome.
The DOS 2 environment was already super cool...by itself...there is no need to include excessive visual or material stimuli for people to enjoy the game.
Again - Larian Studios deserves a lot of credit for what they accomplished.
of course, I am nobody to say what should be done.
I just think the internet brought us excessive stimuli and information....so...by focusing on the story and the combat mechanics, and removing the extra stimuli,
Larian studios would be doing gamers a favor...I say that based on some cognition and neuroscience courses I took during university.
