I disagree. A warlock makes a pact to serve something in exchange for learning and becoming a apprentice of that patron and learning magic. That said, Fiend only makes sense for EVIL warlocks. Devils for lawful evils and demons for chaotic evils. And GOO only for chaotic ones. That said, more options is always good. I get that warlocks already have a lot of options to customize his playstyle and other classes has few, but other classes could get more stuff too.

As for 3.5e being similar to pf kineticist, i disagree.

Warlocks on 3.5e seems like a eldritch conduit, while pf kineticists, like elementarists. About 5e WLK, Witches on pf are the closest class and i wanna make a winter witch and a arcanist on the next pathfinder game(wrath of the righteous)

Amont the 3 5e PHB pacts, IMO archfey > GOO > fiend.
