My kids got me a gaming laptop for Father's Day so I'm above recommended but the GTX 1060(Recommended) came out 4 years ago and GTX 780( Minimum) came out 7 years ago.
That is true, but as it was a comparably high/er end one (release price above 600 Euros), it's still a more powerful card than some still being actually sold on the market, such as the 1050 / ti / (or RX 460/560 range), with the former being the 2nd and 3rd most popular in the Steam survey respectively.
I've personally actually still got a GTX 1050 ti (only upgraded my main system a couple weeks ago to a 16 gigs Ryzen) and am going to wait for the new cards due this year / early next year. Until then I'm just going to try and see on lower details, perhaps even resolutions. It's not a twitch game, so the occasional dip in frames should be ok.
