As the title says, if you immediately talk to an NPC after quicksaving the game crashes and you will start from your last save point before you quicksaved.

Where are you in the game?

If you start a new game, can you reproduce this? Moving a bit from the initial character position can trigger an auto save, which might overwrite one from your current playthrough. If you don't already have an honour mode difficulty save, starting one would avoid that problem, since it uses a separate, single save slot (in the difficulty list, after selecting Tactician there is a choice between Regular and Honour).

Does the game crash if you start the game from a different user account, if available, and start a new game? A different account would give a separate drive space for saves.

Currently in Arx and seems like it doesn't crash in act 1. Even in Arx I can't reliably crash the game via save and talk if I want to... I tried playing on other profile but no crash happened so far.

EDIT: Well now the game just crashed again but this time I didn't even do anything. All my quicksave files was not saved and I was reloaded to my last properly saved point : / I was in the town square when it happened.

Thank you for the details.
Are there particular NPCs or locations where the game seems more likely to crash when quicksaving? Have you noticed if merchants or quest related NPCs, etc, are more likely to be a problem?

Sadly I have no idea what triggers the crash so far, but I can tell you the location when it did trigger.

1) Kemm's Mansion (Right before closing Old but Gold quest)
2) Arx Town Square (After doing some shopping and inventory management)
3) Lizard's Consulate (After 2nd cursed remnant encounter)

For now I am avoiding autosaves altogether since that is the only common factor I am able to identify...

I will try updating you if I stumble anything more useful.

Looks like just saving regularly can also trigger the crash, happened to me right outside Kemm's Mansion where there are a lot of merchants around, after I casted spirit vision. I suspect that too many NPCs hanging around might trigger the crash because the game got noticably laggier than usual during the initial saving process.

The reason I brought up spirit vision is that I was prepping for the devourer final quest, so there's an extra 4 (5 if you count Sir Lora) NPC the switch has to deal with. I'll try dismissing Sir Lora to try and free up some space and see if that changes anything.

If it changes anything, I am specifically playing on a Nintendo Switch Lite and not the original one.

Thank you for the update. I'll create a bug report to get a programmer to take a look at this, and hopefully QA can reproduce it.
