As a predominantly monk player, I'm a little concerned about how Larian will implement some class abilities, spells, and powers in the game and how the AI would be programmed to respond to said abilities. For example, at 9th level monks have the ability to move up or along vertical surfaces as normal movement. So in an encounter there could be an enemy ranged attacker standing on a 20 foot cliff, and the monk standing at the bottom of it could spend 25' of movement to walk to the top of the cliff, attack the enemy and expend 1 ki to activate flurry of blows. The monk makes 2 standard attacks, and after the first flurry of blows attack he monk imposes a push (Way of the Open Hand) knocking the enemy off the cliff, the monk then jumps off the cliff (taking 0 damage and using 5' of movement) and strikes the enemy with the last flurry of blows attack spending another ki point to make it a stunning attack. Assuming it's successful the monk can then move up to 15 feet without the stunned enemy being able to use an attack of opportunity. Is this style of movement even possible to implement in the game and will they do it?

Another thought how or will they even implement the darkness spell and the devil's sight invocation? These two in tandem can be very powerful for a warlock character particularly if used indoors with closed doors. My concern is that even if implemented the AI would simply make a beeline to the closest exit point as if it could see every obstruction in its path (and knew exactly where the door was located in the case of an indoor usage). This particular combination becomes available at level 3. Can darkness and witch's sight be implemented and how would something like that be resolved by the ai?

Just a couple of thoughts to consider

In your first hypothetical I’m confused as to why you wouldn’t use stunning blow first, then just use push on your last flurry. Running back down and away doesn’t seem to accomplish anything.

The reason is the enemy will take fall damage from the push, assuming the enemy dies the monk can jump down, move up to 15 feet and use the final flurry of blows attack on a different target if one is available, but if the target is hard enough to survive all the the attacks and the fall damage, then the final flurry attack and stunning strike is a bid to disable the enemy until next round and use the extra movement to clear the way for smaller aoe spells teammates might want to use or to move into a better defensive position, like next to a paladin or fighter that has the protection fighting style. And remember as a Open Fist monk you can use the push effect on all the flurry of blow attacks, so assuming it survives the fall and the other attacks you can attempt to stun in and push it 15 feet away potentially into a group of enemies ready for a teammate's fireball.

Gotcha. I hadn’t thought about saving attacks for other enemies.
