Hey Everyone,
I am playing Classic (because DE refuses to open on my PC and none of the solutions offered fixes my issue), with only one mod, Expanded Party Updated, because I am playing with two people who each wanted a companion.
We made it to the beginning of act 2, and the conversation on the Lady Vengeance bugged out the game. One of my main (crowned) player characters is stuck with a blank dialogue screen (though the save game shows that he did give an answer to the reflection conversation), and the companion characters never left the party and cannot be found around the ship. We were fine just continuing with our current companions but we were unable to recover control of the player character. We attempted attacking, pickpocketing, teleporting, and nothing helped. The Lady Vengeane refused to leave because it showed this character as unavailable to leave. I did not notice the problem immediately because we ended our session right after that conversation, and before the next session, I played in another individual campaign, where I eventually overwrote the quicksave from right before boarding the ship. When we got back into our group session, we were unable to load before the bug, and our current save is stuck with our bugged out character.
I understand it might be an issue caused by the mod, and i understand the disclaimers that come with modding., At this point all I want is to be able to either:
1, somehow remove my character from the conversation by editing the save file, using cheats or mods, or whatever it takes. Or:
2, recreate my savegame in a new file so that we don't have to sink another 30 hours and keep our campaign going.
If we cannot figure this out, we are just gonna uninstall and abandon the game. We put a lot of time into it, and this is a huge bummer.
