Before the interaction where you pull the intellect devourer from the skull I took about half damage from fire and didn't heal. I then failed my check to cripple the devourer so it leapt out of my hands to fight. However, when it did so, it broke a tank causing me to take caustic damage and so I started the fight downed. The intellect devourer won the initiative roll and went first but did not attack me while i was downed so the game got stuck and I had to reload.
