I am currently unable to play for when I hit the play button game auto crashes.

Same thing happened to me. click the options button next to play and switch from Vulkan to DX 11 and that fixed the problem for me.

I am having the same issue and changing between Vulkan and Directx 11 doesn't work. I've checked and I have dx12 so I'm wondering if BG3 doesn't work on 12? I tried downloading 11 but it won't install with 12 also and I'm nervous about replacing it and breaking something elsewhere (I am not super tech savvy)

How they have not fixed an issue where the game is unplayable before you even login is beyond me. Where are the moderators, where are the Devs working on this? Close to working on a refund here.
