Let's talk about the UI.

Think about this: one-liner DOS:II skills UI is the best for such game (isometric RPG). At least, make it as an option. Let people say that it resembles DOS:II, it is a great compliment. Minimalistic and neat approach, what else do you need from the UI.

Also, why do I need two icons of the face of my character on the screen, in the left-bottom corner and in the bottom-centered, I mean, I know whom I've chosen from the corner icons.

And whole section for the huge icon for opportunity strike option, why not a simple icon somewhere with actions?

All that said with good intentions, for the improvement.

Tell what you think.

Cheers.

I believe the last section for opportunity attacks is for all Reactions - as they are a distinct action separate from Actions and Bonus Actions.

My suggestions for the UI would actually about separating out things like "at-will", "per short rest", and "per long rest / spell slots". It feels strange that for a spellcaster who uses cantrips as their primary attack - such weight is given to their weapon skills and their cantrips are mixed up with their spell-slot spells in the UI.

I like the idea of separating at-will, short-rest and long-rest slots. It would be a neat improvement.

I totally agree.
It's really confusing atm and you have to manage skill bar every hour...

I don't really like the overall UI.
The minimap is awfull and there are too many buttons everywhere arround it.
A beautifull bar somewhere down the screen for inventory, equipement, spells... should be better. Or a least a single button that open a real menu.

I'd also really love to have way more beautifull portrait.
Actually they're really cheap.

Sounds cool.

Indeed, minimalism, beauty, logic and adjustability - this is what gamers want from the good UI of RPG.

There are elements of the Pillars of Eternity action bar that I think would be useful here.

A quickslot row for you to slot your most commonly used options that can be used with the number keys.

And then an "all actions" row, with pop-up menus for different categories of action - such as common actions, weapons, spellcasting, class abilities, potions/grenades, wands/scrolls etc.

You can adjust 1-9 hotkeys even now, right? If it would be in a single neat row, like in DOS:II, it would be perfect.
