I played 8 hours until now and would like to share my opinion.
Positives:-
The Sound Editing is amazing, BG3 probably will win some awards in future.
- I really liked the spells; adaptation, visual effect and balance in general.
- Larian really succed in
make a game quite different of DoS 2. Probably it was the fear of most people, but this game is unique.
A trully DnD based experience.- The party internal interaction is amazing, in 8 hours i didn't see repeated dialogues and i never saw this in a videogame before.
- I didn't realize any major bug that could compromise the experience in general, and its surprising for an EA game.
- Good combat rhythm, especially in multiplayer.
- The game is really beautiful in all aspects; menus, interfaces, ambience, etc.
Negatives:- In MY opinion "dumb" enemies, like spiders, etc, shouldn't hit fallen characters, they should just run to the next nearest opponent. It seems to me the only unfair part of the combat, they EVER will hit the fallen one, but I understand that "it depends on the dungeon master".
- It should be clearer when some character spots something, it seems that you need to search around and, with so many things in cenario sometimes I just can't find it, and it doesn't show pressing "alt". But it can also be due to my graphics, which are very low.
-
The Jump as bonus action in combat is a little bit weird cos you have the sensation that you HAVE to jump every turn to reach enemies, and to be honest i never saw that in DnD. I know the rules, but people doesn't do, its strange and unreal.
-
Scrolls in general doesn't make any sense to me, looks like a "Larian's vicious". Maybe could have scrolls, but less amount.
-
Long Rests should consume food and/or water, to make its use lesser and give the player a sensation of "lost resources".
So, its that. For me the game is amazing and was a good surprise for an EA. Comment below your points guys, and tell me what you agree and desagree. Sorry my english, im from Brazil. Hugs
