Decided I'd throw up a thread on here to report some issues a group of friends and I had while trying to play Co-op. We had no issues hosting lobbies or joining said lobbies on our end through the steam friends list, but we encountered a lot of strange issues during gameplay which I will list here, as clear as I can. We didn't get very far into the game, only about to the first combat encounter with the imps before we wound up having to stop because it was all getting to be a bit too much. I was not the host in these instances, and our host player did not change when we attempted to restart.

1: A lot of the weapon holding animations were bugged for me. Characters took unarmed stances while holding their weapons, Lae’zel was holding her greatsword like a dagger, etc. The only character that wasn't doing so was my own, and my friends claimed that on their ends everything looked normal

2: One of us (the only player using windows 7) was experiencing a lot of freezes, and had trouble keeping up me and the host in game. It was especially bad when combat started, where he seemed to be a few full minutes behind us when he described what was happening, about a minute and a half if I had to guess. After switching from Vulcan to Direct X on Windows 7, he said the game seemed to smooth out significantly.

3: Our player who was lagging behind and freezing constantly had infinite movement during the combat encounter with the imps

4: After we restarted the lobby, one of our players joined and somehow had a clone of his character's portrait in the fourth slot (Image attached)

5: We attempted to save the game before restarting the lobby, but no save was recorded. The last autosave was set to the start of the game, rather than the start of the combat encounter as intended.

6. The player who was lagging behind and freezing was killed by fire in the first room and could not move after being revived by the host.

These are all the things I could remember. I haven't had a chance to play the singleplayer yet, but I will report back in this thread if I see the first issue repeated, or the issue with the saves.

Can confirm the combat issues during the imp encounter are all too real. 2 friends and I tried to fight through the massive desync, but we couldnt make it past round 2 before it was just all of us watching nothing happen trying to figure out why it wouldnt progress. The game is unplayable multiplayer in its current state, i doubt it will be playable within the next year with how little it worked. It seems as though all they did was try to add further functionality to the original DOS2 engine, and it is failing hard. I started the lobby thinking there would be bugs, and that even if its only part 1, it would still be nice to try it out, and help report bugs so development could work everything out for the full release, but i cant even get 10 minutes into the game before it breaks. Ill check back in 6 months, i will only ruin the game for myself if i keep attempting to play it like this.

I have also experienced these issues with multiplayer. The save thing is pretty annoying.

Update: After having played singleplayer for several hours, I can confirm that these issues are indeed specific to multiplayer. Weapon animations worked as intended and saves loaded properly and were stored without problems. I had no repeats of the problems listed above.
